Bottle Opener Knives

That's another great option. Only downsides are the lack of clip, and that the difficulty actually finding one.

Thanks for the input everyone. I've considered carrying a separate SAK or Mini Trapper, or a dedicated bottle opener, but honestly I just don't want any more stuff in my pockets. The other suggestion to use a regular knife to open bottles works fine for many people, but I just don't like to pry jagged metal with the edge of my knife blades.

This option actually looks really interesting. You just use the opening in the clip sideways?

The custom route also interest me, I just really don't know enough about custom knife makers to know how to pursue it. Thanks again everyone!

Yes, you just use the opening in the clip sideways.

The following are both still in the budget side, but I'll throw them out anyway.

My daughter had lost the little keychain Gerber Shard I had given her, and asked for a knife with an opener. I gave her my Kershaw Pub CF....which she proceeded to lose within a week or so. But I found it interesting, so I may pick up another at some point.

I also have a little Kershaw Cinder. Not much of a knife, but will open a package in a pinch. Mines the original black, but really like the look of the later released copper version. I'll probably give her the one I have next, and replace with a copper.

Case Mini Trapper. Currently available in Amber Bone, Yellow Delrin, and Patriot Kirinite. Disappear into the watch/5th pocket, very comfortable in hand. I have the Amber and Yellow, now I just need to pick up the Patriot. Victorinox also makes a couple single blade with bottle opener models. Good luck on the hunt!

Well there's your problem, use the spine!

I've been living in a hotel room for the last couple of weeks using a carbon steel Opinel #8 to open my bottles. It ain't all that bad.

No image, the suspense is killing me.
Sorry, I couldn't get it to work and couldn't figure out how to delete it. I thought that I could post a photo straight from my tablet. Apparently that still isn't possible here.

The coolest bottle opener folder would be the vintage titanium Kershaw Talon 1420 variant but it will cost you.

I've got PE and PS variations of the Talon but was never interested in the bottle opener version. Both cost me around $100. People are asking much more for the bottle opener model.

I've also got a Chinese knockoff version of the Kershaw Agile (Hinderer) 1558 w/the bottle opener attachment that cost me around $10 that I keep in my small job tool box but the real thing w/additional attachments will cost around $30-40 (I think).

Kershaw ‘Hops’, it’s a small thing, the blade length is 1.4”

Blackhawk Hawkpoint is my tactical bottle opener. Very thin and very light.

If you wanna go traditional, try a "Lady Leg" pattern. Rough Rider alone makes a couple dozen scale colors. Cost less than the six pack you're opening.

Why not use the spine of the knife to flick off the bottle cap? It’s fairly easy to learn, and it’s a neat little trick that in my experience usually is thought of as cool by friends. Sort of like the bic lighter trick
