I'm lucky to get this out of my beagle
She's a bit of a chicken, and she too is gone like the wind when she gets off the leash (out of the yard anyways). She gets on a scent and forgets about everything else. She almost followed a bird scent over the edge of a cliff on one of our hikes! Luckily she was on the lead...
