So I came across a "box of knives" a guy was getting rid of. One in particular caught my eye and I was immediately interested. I ended up with 6 knives of various types. A couple I'm just not sure about.

Here's a pics of the lot:

1) First is a Lone Wolf Paul Defender. From what I can tell it may be pre-Benchmade but don't know enough about it. It is in excellent shape with no scratches, dings, abuse and so forth. Just a very very small hint of side to side blade play when opened. Beautiful knife that is very cool to open/close.
2) Boker Applegate-Fairbairn Combat II. Good shape with small mark toward tip of blade. This one is flat ground on the "back" side of the blade. Pretty self explanatory.
3) Here is a Spyderco that I have no idea what model it is. Pretty large blade. 8Cr13MoV blade. No clue what this one is. Back side does say made in China. This is the first Spyderco I've ever owned. It does open very smoothly. The guy had 4 of these. I only took one.
4) This is a little BK&T 11 neck knife I think. All the pics I could find show it is a K-BAR but i can't see K-Bar under the logo, I just see USA. Not sure I want to take the wrapping off the handle yet. Any ideas on this one?
5) An Ontario RAT-7. No scratches on the coating but the micarta handles look dirty from handling. This one seems pretty straight forward.
6) A Wilkinson Sword knife. Appears to be a Wilkinson British RAF Issue Type D Survival Knife. I have no idea. If anyone knows anything about this I'd love to learn. It's pristine. No scratches. I just bought in the lot because it seemed unusual - at least for over here across the pond and all.

Let's see how many pics it'll let me upload to show some detail. Comments are welcome. Probably won't be keeping all these as I'm looking for a Sebenza.

I was looking in the local on-line classifieds as there have been a couple of Sebenzas listed. Just checking when I saw the post for the Lone Wolf Paul Defender. Then saw his post for the RAT, then the BK. I just happened to be looking as he was posting. He had some really good prices listed so I called. Sure enough he was selling. He was about 45 minutes from where I live but I figured it'd be worth the drive. When I got there he literally had a cardboard box with the 3 I initally wanted and the Boker A-F, Spydie (4 of them identical), some Cold Steel, TOPS and a few others. These were the ones of interest to me.

Ah, got the additional pics of the Wilkinson...

There's some info

That BK 11 looks fine. But I don't see the sheath that comes with it in any of your pics...I do see one that looks custom maybe or...? That wrapping is very easy to do if you decide to take it off.

The Spydie is a Spyderco Resilience...

Not sure if that's the original handle on the Wilkinson.

Pretty cool knife box you got there.

I have a Rat 7. It's the D2 steel model. The coating is tough. Mine shows very little wear after quite a few years of light to moderate use. The micarta slabs on mine were poorly fit and required attention with sandpaper to remove the excess hanging over edges of the tang. It was uncomfortable to use until I sanded the handled flush. It was also dull and it took a loooooong time to finally get it sharp (D2). After all the work to get it sharp and the grip right, it became a good user.

As stated earlier, the Spyderco is the Resilience. It's the largest of the Spyderco Chinese-made economy line. These knives are very popular due to their prices and overall quality in fit, finish and utility. Mine was relegated to the grilling box I used in my RV. I used it for outdoor food preparation. Upon retiring the RV, I also retired the knife. It's a good user but a bit on the large side for EDC (at least for me).

Good story about how you came into possession of the knives.

Depending on what you paid, good score.

That group would have attracted me too....and half the people in here.

The BK-11 is a little jewel. I have one in san mai. Yours is CroVan which is a very good steel for such a knife. It's one of my small knife go to's. If you don't have the sheath, custom sheaths in leather or Whatever-dex are available everywhere.

Here's pics of the knife and sheath. No Kbar logo. There is some small marks on it. It was $20.
