Bought a small hatchet @ garage sale &looking for facelift

Found a small hatchet at a garage sale this weekend and would like it restored/reworked.I give full artistic license to any individual interested in

playing around with this small hatchet. It has a groove cut into the handle with a metal lining seemingly having housed a blade of some sort at one

time?I have Googled it best I could and found nothing.There are no markings what so ever on the head or handle.I think it would make for a great

little camping,hiking hatchet.I can email pics to anybody interested.
