Bought a Zero tolerance & Benchmade

New to the forum....I was out with a friend today and we stopped at a pawn shop. They had a Zero Tolerance 0300 and a Benchmade 3300BK Infidel. I got the Benchmade for $200 because it wouldn't open and close over half the time (got home and lubed it, works fine now), and the Zero Tolerance for $60. One question I have about the ZT is...the blade doesn't have any kershaw or ZT stampings of anykind, no date, nothing. It says zero tolerance on the pocket clip and on the round deal in the middle of the grip. All my other Kershaw's have identification markings on them and dates. Is it possibly a fake? Or a warranty replacement blade?
 
i cant speak for Thomas, but it sounds like someone at the factory could have made a 0300 from spare parts and sold it to that pawn shop.
 
Also, one side of the grip is dark green, and the other side is black, not sure if that is standard or not....
 
Pictures? I would have pegged it for a blem, but those typically have XXXX marked on the blade.
 
I have one as well with no blade markings that I got in a trade. Is there a story behind these ?
 
I had a problem with a new Kershaw Spec Bump a while back, so I sent it in to them. Apparently they didn't have the parts for it since it was discontinued, but I think they were kind enough to make a new blade for it, because I got the knife back with a blade that had no markings on it at all. Maybe something similar happened here?

Interesting...because it doesn't have the tiger stripe paint on it, it's just solid black on the blade....I'll try and get some pictures, I don't have a camera with me right now.
 
Could have been sent in for warranty and the blade was replaced........sterile though?.
And only $60? Geebus.
 
Never seen a sterile ZT, but looks legit enough otherwise. either way congrats on the score!
 
Looks exactly like my 0301 aside from the coating. That's a hell of a deal for 60 bucks:thumbup:.
 
I also have a "sterile" ZT, but it's a ZT0302 though. I got it in a trade and it has the tigerstripes but no other markings whatsoever.
It's the real deal though ;)
$60 is an amazing deal by the way, they usually go for $180 or more.
