Bought Kershaw Skyline, now few questions

I got my Skyline today few obsevation:
- Solid knife, yet incredibly light
- Locking up is very solid feeling, despite liner is pretty thin.
- Scary sharp out of the box
- Very slim, combined that to light weight and sharp blade this makes one of the best EDC knives I so far have.

Glad you like your knife, I might be a little late to the party but I’ll add my observations.

- Does the liner lock scratch the blade? So the blade is centered and doesn't touch either liners. I heard in some Skylines blade wasn't fully centered and were touching against liners?

Even after just under a year of use the blade on my skyline centers perfectly.

- Is the lock sturdy feeling? Some guy said he had 5 Skylines tested and everyone’s linerlocks failed with "light tap"?

My knife locks up perfectly, with zero play/wiggle. There is slight flex in the handle but the only knives I’ve ever owned that went beyond having no play to no flex are my CRK knives, a BM 615 and Spyderco Manix 2.

- Is your blade 13C26 or 14C28? I Heard Kershaw started to make Skyline's blade from 14C28 Sandvik starting from this years February but I am yet to confirm that official sources.

My blade is made from 13c. You can confirm the change by looking through the Kershaw archives.

- Have you had problems with Beast Blast finish in Skyline attracting the rust? I heard it was Beast Blast finishing and first runners were only Stone Washed finished.

As you can see from my picks, I haven’t had any problems with rust. That being said I oil and maintain my knives with religious devotion.

- Are you satisfied with your Skyline?

Very satisfied. The knife is light, has a wonderfully versatile blade shape, good steel, fast flipper, decent pocket clip, adequate strength and excellent value.

I’m able to get a hair popping/tree topping edge with nothing more then a sharp-maker and a leather strop.

One of my favorite features that the skyline shares with many of my favorite Kershaw’s and Spyderco’s is finger protection. Even if the lock does fail the worse that will happen is that your pinch the crap out of a finger.

I have 2 Skylines. Plain and damascus. The regular production model is perfect in every way, but the DAM... I've done everything I could think of to get it right, but still a no go. If I tighten the pivot screw the blade would not deploy, if I loosen it a little I'll be able to open it, but the action will be very gritty. If I loosen it even more liner lock travels to the other liner and I can feel some vertical and horisontal bladeplay.
I polished all contacting surfaces, applied dry lube, greasy lube, you name it. Doesn't get any better. I gave up.
If there's any cancellation I love the other one. Fires and locks with more authority you'd expect from a knife of it's size and compositon :)
