Bought My First Becker

I have had my eye on the BK-17 for a while now. I have heard nothing but good things about them so I made the plunge.

The first thing I noticed was that it kinda looked like a USAF Bolt Knife. I used, carried and taught with the one in the picture. I traded the original sheath for a sheath that a had been carried in Vietnam by a guy I met during training.

I have big plans for this knife and I am going to use it for the next 6 months. After the 6 months I am going to do a review on it. I am pretty stoked.
 
Great choice! My 17 is one of my favorite Beckers. I used it for my feather stick Bushclass. :)

Congrats on the 17. Unfortunately, the tweener handles were a bit small for me, but damn I love those blades. Looking forward to your review. The clip on the 17 was my inspiration for my clipped 2.
 
Yeah, I see the resemblance. But I have to say... After using a Bolt Knife a lot, I'm willing to bet that the BK17 blows it outta the water. I know I've seen several bent and completely broken (blade comes off the tang at the hilt) Bolt Knives.

I know what you mean I have broken several myself.
 
The 17 is hot. I think every household in America should have a BK17 in it! :)

Nice old bolty too, bet that knife has some stories to share.
 
Yeah, looking again at your USAF Bolt Knife I noticed the handle. It looks like you wraped it in 550. Is there still leather under there?
 
Nice choice man...Your name sounds fammiliar, do you have a youtube channel or something?
 
I dunno what it is about it...the balance, the feel, the looks....but I just love the 17. I honestly can't see myself ever being without one. I like ALL the Becker knives..but there are some that I love and would never part with...and would replace instantly if I lost it.

The 9, 14, 17 and 2 are just fantastic.
