Hey All,

This seems like the place to share my excitement! Just paid for my first CRK knife, a small Sebenza Insingo. Got a good deal on it and I'm pretty stoked. It was born this year, has S35VN steel, and the Idaho mark. I'm not sure what the controversy is surrounding the Idaho mark though. I think the unmarked lock sides are a bit cleaner, but otherwise it doesn't bother me.

Can't wait to try it out. My knives up to this point have been Spydercos, Striders, and a few customs. Curious to see how the Sebbie stacks up. I'll be sure to post up some pics once she arrives (shipping tomorrow). :) Does the CRK cloth come standard with the purchase of a new Sebenza?

You're gonna love it!! I just bought my first one a few weeks ago, and I think I'm now finished buying production knives. I don't see anything on the production side being any better than my seb.

And no, mine did not come with the cloth.

Congrats! Putting out the money is the easy part, the hard part is waiting for your knife to arrive! I hope you enjoy your first Sebenza.

After getting acquainted with that first Seb, it's a pretty safe bet to say there will be more. It could be a 'zaan or a Nyala, or maybe one of the out-of-production one piece knives. Who knows?......but there WILL be others.

Telling the truth right there. I got my first sebbie around 2 months ago.
Just got a tanto a week ago and now have 2 in the mail as we speak. One
small regualr and one large micarta. It really is a sickness. Is there a meeting
I can go to or something:o

I surprised CRK's are being delivered with out the Cloths?

Of the NIB CRK folders I have purchased they all have had the CRK cloth included regardless of the model.

Anyhow I think the Insingno is the way to go!
I have yet to own one, but have held one and love it!
Looks to be much easier to sharpen as well.

Congrats, and don't sweat the stamp. It will function and cut the same :)

I got mine last week NIB Large Sebenza 21, Born date 2/2/2011, Have no cloths come with, I call up CRK for the cloths, 2 day later I got mine with reciept and hand writing THANK YOU.

Congrats on your New Sebbie:thumbup:, you'll love it. Welcome to the Sickness:D for the best knife around.

Thanks everyone for the info and welcome btw! Unfortunately the Seb isn't shipping until tomorrow. It will hopefully be here Monday.

Im thinking that maybe people sometimes take the cloth out and keep them.
Could be preivous owner or a worker. I dont know but I would think they all
go out of CRK with cloths.

I bought an S35VN large 21 and received it a couple of weeks ago from a trusted vendor we all know. It was wrapped in a bunch of fine white paper??

I thought that sucked.

If you don't mind my asking did CRK increase the price for the Sebenzas with the new S35VN blade steel?

It happen to me...Just call CRK, They will fix you up in no time.

Just posted this in the other thread.

Cviz, same situation. They ran out and had to go back to the tissue paper.

I'd be amazed if any authorized CRK dealer is going to the trouble to remove the cloth from a box that has a +/- $400 or more knife inside...remember that the cloth is very recent and many dealers have knives that pre-date when the cloth started to be included...also consider that CRK may have had a period after they started using the blue cloths when they ran out and had to go back to using the tissue paper.

Interesting, I have quite a few Chris Reeve knives and I have never gotten one with a cloth. If it weren't for pictures on this forum I would never have seen one.

I have purchased my knives from several different dealers so removing them must be a pretty common practice.

No no no no no. :) The cloths are recent, so earlier knives won't ever have had them. After CRK started shipping knives in them, which is pretty recently, they ran out and had to go back to tissue paper temporarily. Dealers are not removing them! :)
