Bought my first Strider!

I was in the market for a utility/neck knife plus I wanted to see what the Strider buzz was all about. I picked up a WP-TS from Patrick at TAD, what a sweet knife! I can't wait to put it to work. I guess I can put my Woo to rest now.

Livesay makes a good knife but my Woo doesn't compare to the WP. In fact, it now kind of feels like a cheap throwing star.

I may have to sell a couple of my Microtechs to make way for another Stider. I'm also interested in the Tanto fixed blade, EB series.

Is there any drawback to the slightly longer version in this series(is the shorter version stronger)?

I would appreciate any feedback good/bad(if any) on this series. Thanks

I don't know what you would compare it to, but I have the EBLT and it is absolutely too cool. I think I could use it for a pry bar, hammer and knife without hurting it, not to mention "tactical" uses. I have 2 Strider fixed blades and a folder on order and I have handled others. I just don't think you can go wrong as long as you weigh your needs and then pick out the Strider that best fits your needs. If you are new to Striders, you might as well figure out now that the best thing to do is go through a reputable dealer such as Triple aught design, oso grande or arrow dynamics. The Strider folks really are overwhelmed with work and the best thing to do is simplify things by letting them deal with a few dealers instead of hundreds of customers. Good luck.

The PROBLEM with Strider knives is that their product is damn well made and is so addictive.
