What are you thoughts on the wallet? I know its not knife related, but I scored one for free and it should be here in *6-8 weeks* which usually means forever, but hey, if its free, who cares. And good score on the sub-com, awesome little knife.
Those finix lights are pretty great. I have had a p1 on my key chain for a few months. I didn't care for the l.e.d. bulb at first, but it grew on me. The p1 is a single battery unit but it is almost as bright as my two battery surefire and it's run time is over twice as long. -I think you'll be happy with that light.
I can't wait for the knife to get here - it will be my new EDC, replacing my very light and very nice Buck Northshore.
I love the flashlight so far, and have found a few uses for it already just in 24 hours.
The wallet is taking me a little bit to get used to, but I like it enough to keep it for a while. We'll see if it becomes a permanent solution for me. It can be bought here: http://www.thejimi.com/
Fenix has a great line. I've got several of their models but like the P1 best. Uses a CR123A battery that can be had for $1 each. (I use the Titanium brand.)
3 watt output with a 2.5 hour runtime using a current regulation circuit. Love it!
Chris, there is a store you should check out on Sawmill Rd. called Rivers Edge Cutlery (right by the mongolian b.b.q.). The guys that work there are good, knowledgable people and they have the best selection of knives around (just about anything you'd want), as well as other gear including fenix lights.
Siggyhyk,
Thanks I know the store very well I stop in weekly as it is on my way home. I need to check out the flashlights I thought they only had the surefire brand.
You are right the guys at Rivers Edge are the best.
