So... I've been wanting a Marzitelli folder for years. It all started when I saw an example of one of his "Big Snarly J" models advertised in Blade Magazine. At the time I thought "I want one of those let me save up the money." Of course, other things got in the way and I did not get around to ordering it for a year or two. In the meantime Mr. Marzitelli quit making folders entirely. Dohp! So I've haunted the classifieds for years on and off hoping that a Marzitelli folder would show up. No such luck. Then I found one on that really big auction site. It was a very nice looking folder (although NOT the Snarly J) and I wondered. It was also listed for FAR more than I wanted to pay. I let it sit for months. It sat for months. Then I noted that the seller had listed an "or best offer" option. So I made a much more reasonable offer. We went back and forth a few times but in the end I got the knife for a bit over half what he listed it for originally. Yay! Of course now I'm wondering... Will I really like it in person. I've never actually handled a Marzitelli folder, I've just read great reviews and I like the specs. I know I've been disappointed with several other manufacturers / makers when I've handled their items in person at shows. Will this be like that? I hope not. Either I'm going to have a really nice knife or there's going to be a really nice knife on the exchange!!!
