WAIT ONE MINUTE..
You mean dwinkling, without a Battle Mistress ;) ....
Hehehehe.

Mini Story :
I bought a cool lookin fighter sorta knife about ??? MMMMMMMMMMMM ??? 1992-3?, After hurricane Andrew, at a gunshow, in Ft Liquordale Fl. It was $$$,, ahh Not that bad ? Maybe $125 or so ??? Kinda spendy but cool.
I toted the thing around, like I always do... for a bit.. and then it got stashed.

This was Pre- internet.
Well.. being THEE Gringogunsmith you can guess what I did with an internet connection !
RIGHT !! PORNO ! :D

Not really.. Gun stuff.. parrot stuff.. palm tree stuff, dog stuff, orchid stuff... then fish stuff

Well. I dug out about 25 knives( and innumerable old gun parts) from my leaking attic since the last 4 hurricanes and cleaned them up on the Baldor.
Busse... ??? Busse??? WTF ?

Well " Busse" Leads the internet surfer here.
Now I know what a ' Busse" is.

Im first and foremost, by genetics, a gunsmith.. That gene recesses to ALL WEAPONRY.
Being a self proclaimed master craftsman.. that makes me a party animal.( brain works way too fast so inebriation is essential for sleep/ survival)
SO.
In closing. I had me a Busse before the internet and had no idea what it was.
I just found aout what it was a month or so ago.

What is it ?
Welllll Shit.. It's a knife.
   I'll skin my next hog with it, so I can be " official",, ;)

Okay, Okay, Okay, there is no better advertising than word of mouth! Today I am going to the liqour store and I am buying one bottle of Elijah Craig and one bottle of George Dickle #12.

I wish buying an Extravaganza knife was as easy as buying a good bottle of Bourbon.

BTW, I've been drinking sour mash for over 40 yrs and have tasted more than a few.

Who knows the diff between sour mash and Bourbon?

Rob

It's the way it's processed. Some of the old mash (called feed mash) is added to the new mash.

Dang! I think I've learned more about liquor on Busse Forums than I've learned about knives on the Bladeforums website! How about Glenfiddich with Corona Extra chaser. That's what I'm drinking right now.

Elijah Craig is on my list of must buys. Sorry Jerry, but I think I'm going to bourbon temporarily, upon the advice of a few Busse forumites. Can I still be a Hog?

VERY CLOSE !!!!!!!

But not quite.

The feed mash just gets the new mash working quicker. Like using the active yeast from a previous batch of beer to get the next one jump started. Sorta ......

THE ANSWER IS .................

TAAAAA DAAAAAA

The barrel it is stored in to age. The wood and what was done to it. Burnt (charcoal lined) or unburnt.

This is the simplest terms, of course each distillery has their own routine, but still.

All sour mash, well, pretty much all whiskey, comes out clear from the worm (condensed vapor from boiling mash). What is done after that gives each it's own color and taste.

Well made moonshine is rather tasty if you have ever had it. Poorly made moonshine, you won't forget. LOL

I'm a big bourbon drinker. . .. Jennifer and I own a farm near the bourbon capital of the world, Bardstown, Kentucky, and bourbon drinking is a required sport!!!  :D

We're gonna miss this year's Bourbon Festival due to Baby Busse arriving at the same time. . . Hmmmmm. . . Maybe that would be a good name for the little one. . . Bourbon Busse. . . . I like it!!!

Here's a link for all of you bourbon drinkers!!!!

http://www.kybourbonfestival.com/index.htm

Jerry, Thanks for the link!! For awhile, as a Bourbon drinker, I felt like an outcast, since there are so many Scotch lovers around the trough. Well its is nice to know that there are others who also enjoy tippin my favorite bevvie.

PS-I was just wondering, how many e-mails did you and Garth get during the Extravaganza??

Who wooda thunk it?? Scotch, bourbon, BL... Not only do you have a heart of gold for having these extravaganzas but it seems you have a liver of gold as well! :D Perhaps you should be known as the "GOLDEN HOG." :)

Is it just me or does it seem like most Busse forumites appreciate the finer forms of alcohol consumption compared to bladeforum members in general? Is it possible that those with a genetic predisposition to fine alcohol also have an Infi appreciation as well? ...just a theory.
