Bow drill dimple

I notice the SERE is going to have the firebow dimple....is this an option available for the smaller blades, specifically the RC-3? If not, is there an effective DIY method; maybe a countersink bit or something?

Perhaps some epoxy to seal everything off. Would the micarta layers even peel?

We've used the dimple on Micarta in the past (Laser Strike) and it worked great. Doesn't peel away any layers. It just turns the dimple black after a few uses. Personally, I think the RC-3 is too small and handle slabs too thin to do a large enough dimple.
