The Quinn gets mighty good reviews for the money but I hear it takes a while to order.

Yeah, that's what I figured I guess you get what you pay for, Right now I'm debating between the x200 and the martin rebel I'm thinking I can train myself to shoot anything I'm just curious as to the effective range of a shorter "52 inch" bow?? I can't see myself shooting past 15-20yards even in the bestof conditions.

The shooter is the deciding factor in 'effective range'. Once you get a bow and arrow combination that works for you, then it is simply a matter of practice and comfort. The very first year I switched to a recurve, I was able and comfortable shooting out to 40 yards on a deer size target.

Today, with the same bow and arrow combination, I'd be LUCKY if I could hit a deer size vital at 15 yards. I'm out of practice! The bow and arrow hasn't changed, but I have!

A friend owned the X200 and sold it so he could buy a Hunter II takedown to his specs. He liked the X200 just fine, but after shooting my 60" Hunter II, he wanted one and loves it. A big plus to the takedown is that he's buying another set of limbs so he can get the weight up to 55#, from the 47# that he shoots now.
