First one is a smaller vest bowie. 5.25" blade and stabilized black ash burl. W2 Blade.

I welcome your thoughts on these.

Both are exceptional but that Vest Pocket Bowie really speaks to me. ;)

Really nice Brian. It was cool seeing these come together on IG.

Nice work. I am also impressed with the sheaths.
Darcy:)

Thanks everyone. It helps that I have seen Paul Long's DVDs a bunch of times. Wouldn't have nice sheaths like that without him.

that's some quality workmanship.

I really like the vivid hamon. Some might want them to progress further up the blade as they terminate earlier than I'm used to seeing.

And that sheath work looks really clean.

Those are so nice Brian. I love the crisp lines in the handle shaping, the hamons, and the leatherwork. Basically everything!

The vest bowie does it for me. Think I'd rather have had some more dramatic handle contouring on the bigger one.

Both still beautiful Bowies especially in the blade department.

Good point, I have been thinking about that. I plan on doing that in the future.

Its a Fosterish/Knightish/Wheelerish handle treatment....which is awesome.

The hamon is significantly too extreme and at that point is a waste of valuable time.....better to just do a SIMPLE good heat treat.....this extreme level shows a lack of control, imo.

I do very much like your blade shapes.

The leather work is exceptional.

Best Regards,
