thanks to the advice from our dear forum members i just got this bowie finished up after sitting on the back burner for quite sometime.

blade and guard is 1084
handle is stabilized koa from burlsource with tru-oil finish

this is my first bowie, first hidden tang, first hand made guard, a first on a lot of levels and its my pride and joy as of right now. i was surprised how much planning and studying of other bowies (mostly the best bowie threads) went into getting the lines and dimensions half way decent.
theres a few things i would have done differently looking at it now. i havnt worked on a knife in maybe 5 months or so and im glad to be working again

let me know how you like it, or dont like it for that matter! haha thanks
matt

PS do yall usually heat treat guards?

Very Cool. One thing that I believe would make it look better is if the guard was squared up with the plunge line and blade. It Looks like the bottom of guard is tilted forward. No big dea though.
