Bowie in Progress (lots o' pics)

And she's finished! (unless I gotta do a sheath. :D)

I used a carbide bit to drill through the tang and set in the mosaic pin.
Put on another coat of finish on the handle, fingerprint up the blade and take some pics. ;) The mokume hasn't achieved it's full patina, but still looks good ( didn't make that of course.)

And here's a pic I (tried) to take last night of the guard section. It's all greased up and shiny, but hopefully it shows what's going on:

Very nice. Personally, I would have thinner spacers, or alternatively a guard of hammered copper and thin spacer of mokume.

Joss, I can dig where you are coming from, but I think Michael pulled off this project really well, choosing material thicknesses that are well balanced.

Great thread, I personally like larger fittings and lots of them.
