Bowie knife suggestions

Schrade's 171UH is a favorite of mine @ 10" OAL.

Hen & Rooster HR-3107 is a nice big one, just under 15" OAL.

An USA Schrade 171UH is on my "must have" list. My best friend has one, great knife IMO.

I’m looking for a clip point tapering toward point.
When I was a kid and thought knives were for fighting, I used to anguish about whether a Bowie should be a lopper or a sticker. Since Bell and Searles both made them light at the point in the days when they were for fighting, I'm inclined to take that as good advice.
But you're talking about hunting, so a 6" blade or so?
Buck 119, maybe.

Here's one of those old Gerbers. Sorry about the lack of light. And photographic skills.

That swedge is sharpened (comes that way; though I'm sure it could be ordered otherwise)

Thanks for the extra info, I was wondering if it was. Hard to tell from the pic if it was just a reflection along the spine but with as deep as the swedge was taken, I figured that it was sharp.

There's always the kit blade option.
Save some money and gain some appreciation of what goes into making a knife.
This is a Jantz Appalachian Bowie and the only power tool used was a table top (hobbyist) drill press to drill the holes in the micarta handle scales.

Take a look at Blackjack knives; DLT carries them and they are a lot of knife for the money.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! Looks like I’m gonna have to start saving up, I see a lot of really nice Bowies on this thread. I’m very partial to the bark river rouge, although it looks like they’re hard to find.
