Stick tang design IIRC. Not so good for hard use (more of a display knife). Other will shortly weigh in on the maker, no doubt. Do a search here and read up.

TC I did back off on the order for now after watching a video online. The first run on the v-44's had a thickness of 1/4" and the new run is .187", not terrible but seems a little light.

My recommendation is the Cold Steel CPM 3V Trailmaster Bowie . :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Very tough steel , great ergonomic handle non-slip , and pretty much a do-everthing design .

Shop around , current can be found for ~$233 shipped . A good bargain !
