bowie saw teeth on spine?

i have a friend asking me to make a knife for him. its gonna be a bowie style and he wants a serrated/saw edge on the blades spine for sawing wood, notching etc. any one know of any bowie style knifes out there with functional teeth on the back? id like to see some examples for inspiration thanks alot.

To answer the OP's question. I would tell the guy to pick up a SAK with a saw or a folding saw to carry with his bowie. I'd also try and talk him out of a blade with such a heavy re-curve in it. It won't handle forest tasks as well as a more traditional shaped blade.

yeah the more i think about it the more it makes sense. thanks for your advise.

What about a Jeffrey Spivy Sabertooth?

Its got a very "intriguing" history.
