Bowie Sheaths - Types / Styles / Opinions?

Paul has made quite a few sheaths for me and he always sends along his design layout on a few sheets of paper with the completed sheath. If you got him to make one and send the plans I'll bet it would clarify some parameters for you.

Ahhh good point...
I should have thought of that... I think that ship may have sailed.. not sure how I'd modify it and not damage what's under.

Horsewright I looked at it a little more today... unfortunately my stitch is a little off center at that point as well. Kinda throws it off. I'm trying to think of a way to correct it, maybe with an exacto knife... but I'm worried I may do more harm than good...

This is how it turned out... fit was great with the thinner welt... I'm happy we went that direction.

I normally oil and then bag-cote on my sheaths, but I like the lighter color of this one where it's at now. I was thinking of just applying a little bit of Obenauf's to it or maybe some Bickmore Bick 5?
