I'm working up a shortened HI AK Bowie ( also known as the HI Bird and Trout - does that tell you what khukuris do to your perspective? ) that should end up with a 9" blade and 13" oal +/- that makes my Bauchop Alleycat look dainty. Picked up a guard for it at the gunshow Saturday...

Blade 3/8ths thick at the spine, 2" deep at the hilt, and 2 1/2" deep spine-to-belly at widest. Why? Easy!
