Hello guys , I would like to offer you another Bowie - like knife. Since the 1.2519 is pretty hard steed , I decided to differentially hardened it. According to my previous blades with the same steel and process, the hardness of the edge is around 60 hrc and the spine ~50 hrc. Unfortunately there is no visible hamon line , but that can be expected due to the chemical composition of the steel . The texture of the handle is made with wire brush and thanks to the natural structure of the wenge wood . It looks nice and adds a good grip.
Well that's it from me for this year, now it's time to relax for a few days.
Cheers
Steel - 1.2519 (hitachi blue steel 2 equivalent )
Differentially hardened:
59-60 HRC on the blade
51-52 hrc on the spine

Blade - 170Х40Х5 mm (~6.7x1.6x0.20") flat grind with secondary bevel
Blade - finish - polished on the bevels and etched
Handle - wenge wood and bronze
Leather sheath
