Bowie training knives? Nachez and fortress

Looking to get a trainer for both these knives. I want something of simmilar size, shape, and heft. The fortress trainer would be great if it had the right guard so i can practice blade trapping. Also must be resonably priced. Im not looking to pay close to the costof the knife itself for a chunk of rubber or aluminum. Anybody know of a good source for these items?

I would contact Chris at empiretrainingblades.com I can't guarantee what he will charge cause I don't know. However, he lists a big bowie trainer on his site 14" long, 8 1/2" blade, 1/4" thick for $34.95. Check out his site and click on the button "Medium Training blades" and scroll down that page. That should give you an idea of his price range for a trainer like you want.

He does good work. I had him make me a Cold Steel Safekeeper 3 trainer. He did a good job, it wasn't perfectly symmetrical, but it was made well enough to serve the purpose, and it was a quality trainer. If I wanted a trainer specially made, I would contact him again with no hesitation.

Please let me know if you get your trainers made by Chris, and what he charged you. I'd be interested to see the contrast in prices.

hmmm...how about just asking someone on here to make you a tracing of the knife and make your own??
