Bowie Winchester inspiration

Hello friends,
I share with you part of this project that I came postponed for quite some time.
In my first job when I was 15 I worked with a gunsmith restoring and reforming Winchester 44-40 to 44 Magnum. Always felt great admiration for this beautiful rifle.
So, why not make a Bowie inspired by the legendary Winchester!..

Wow, that is fantastic!

Can't wait to see this finished. So far, my only question (besides can I have it) is whether there is enough room in the lower finger guard for my fat fingers to move about!

I need a bigger loop on a lever gun than some, especially of I'm wearing a leather glove.

I love how the fuller on the blade reminds me of the loading gate on the side of the Winchester's receiver.
