Here's my latest bowie with hamon for an upcoming show in Sweden. Pictures are bad but it is still viewable.

Steel is 1.2210 (silversteel), stainless guard, titanium spacer and pommel and spalted beach for the grip.

The bowie has a flat grind and a hollow ground false edge. maybe I will sharpen the false edge also.

and the round steel I used to forge this sharp baby. (silver steel is tough to forge).

Nice work Toni! Robust yet elegant.

VERY different look under the ricasso. How do you do that? Filed in? Small wheel on the grinder? Very different. Is it a signature look for you?

Hi David, yes this will be my signature look for the bowie I make. I have never seen it done this way, but probably somebody already did it. Normally it is filed, but I ground it hollow which results in a small line which runs out of the corner. After grinding I smooth things out with stones.
