Here is a bowie I just finished up. The blade is forged 1084 with nickel silver and nitre-blued fittings. The handle is red stag. You can't see it in the pics but it has a nice hamon.

That is one fine bowie!:) The proportions look ideal - I'm guessing at an OAL of 14-15"?
 
Thanks guys, sorry I forgot to post the diminsions. The blade is 7 1/2" and overall is 12 1/4".
 
That is a great looking Bowie, Craig. I really like the fighter style blade with the long clip.

So, are you saying this is Red Deer stag?

You need to get a better web photo hosting site. Those pictures are way to small. It costs $24.00 a year, but you should take a look at fototime.com
 
Yeah it is red stag from Elan Hunting. I by full antlers from him and then cut them to my needs. It allows me to get the best textured pieces and the pieces that are the most solid. The other pieces I trade to a gun grip maker for his textured tines.

I need to invest in a good digital camera and get a website up. I have a show in Denver and then in Chicago and after that I don't have any shows for a month or so, I am planning to dedicate that time to getting a website up and then I can just post pics from there.
 
That is an awesome bowie and it deserves a better picture. I want to see more!
