Since I'm building a collection heavy on fixed blades, I was thinking that a full size Bowie would make a nice center piece if you will. What do you'all think is the best quality Bowie knife? I was looking at a stag handle "Hen & Rooster" 14 3/4 inch.
The best bowie knives are those that are made by the custom makers. My favorite production bowies are the Camillus Fisk models. Some of the CAS Iberia Historical and Sheffield series models appeal to me as well.
I just got my custom made bowie from Chaxknives.com. Overall 15 1/2" with a 9" long x 1/4" thick O1 blade, with G10 scales all for $160. Chase has excellent customer service and will work the details with you until you get what ur looking for.
