Knife was far from MINT as he described it, lots of sharpening, and buffing wheel marks, scratches etc... Very slow shipping, way longer than needed. Will not return one email since he got my money order, have tried several times to contact him.Has now been two weeks since I got the knife and still will not respond to my last emails.I would not deal with him again.

Thanks Lee, I really just wanted to let people know that this guy is not straight up with his descriptions, very slow or no email replies.A friend of mine likes the knife so were going to work out a trade. Its still a good user knife. Thanks!

I've done a couple deals with Matt, they went fine. This last one it took him a while to send the axe I bought from him, but I still got it okay.

When one remains silent and does NOT answer mail, having checked BF [I am sure], one becomes far more GUILTY than INNOCENT.

How about a response Matt?????

Just to clarify things a little to, we are both named Matt, I bought the knife, my name is Matt Cucchiara and I go by Pontiaker on the forums. The guy I have the complaint about is Bowie3, who is also named Matt (Micklasevich).
Thanks!

Just saw this. My excite.com account, got wiped out, I have not been able to see any e-mails before May 26, 2002. I will send you an e-mail with my cell phone number. I do not remember what blade I sent to you, I think it was the R.W. Clark MAU.

I did not know that there was an issue until today when I looked at BF.

Matt

Its great how fast the excuses start after a post is made on the GBU.Oh, hey, my email was not working! They all went through fine and nothing was sent back my way? Mail coming Mat, may be you could return it this time?

Pontiaker - If it is one of my MAUs I will be happy to bring it up to new condition for no charge.

It does not change the sour taste of the deal but its the best I can do to help out. Also I would hate to have a deal over one of my blades leave a sour taste in anyones mouth.

Let me know.

Thank you very much for the offer! It was not one of your's though, it was a Ruana sheath knife.
Thanks!

I have bought several items from Bowie3 (Matt) on this forum. Matt has always delivered with the items as described. I cannot comment on this particular transaction because I was not involved and do not know all of the details. I do know that Matt recently was unemployed, changed his e-mail address and possibly moved. He still has my confidence as a seller/buyer. I think that we should give him the chance to make things right, if indeed things are wrong. Afterall, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, or seller in this case.

Peace, Love, Harmony :D :)

On June 1, 2002 he posted and as of June 3, 2002 he has done NOTHING

It all goes back to what we all say over and over and over again. you are only as good as your WORD.

Integrity and credibility can be destroyed or restored based on the action or INACTION taken during a troubled transaction.

Bowie 3 may have done all of his prior dealings exactly the way forumites demand and expect of each other, but something like this can leave deep wounds and a sullied reputation.

If it were me [I would never have engaged in a deal like this to befgin with], BUT if one party voiced his unhappiness, I would be on the phone and have this mess cleaned up within hours at the most.

The E-mail line may be legit, it just happened to me, but the thought that Bowie 3 has NOT looked at GB&U knowing he engaged in a less than honest deal is pure CRAP...........Ira

He has contacted me through email and never offered to take the knife back, reimburse some of the cash, nothing. He just said sorry, and I dont really think he is.He answered all my emails ASAP before he had my cash but after he got it nothing. That is until I posted here!
