Bowies and a tip

Very nice. I'm no expert grinder so I normaly get off the grinder at about 320, then hand sand at 220 or 320 and get everything straight then back to the grinder and cork belts. One thing that has speed up my hand sanding is a little orbital sander with a mycarta pad I added. Uses 1/4 sheets of sandpaper and 3M disk aheasive to hold it on. Start out with 320 and go up to 600 grit and hand finishing is a snap, or at least a little easier

Great looking knives BTW, realy love the look and bet they feel great in the hand.

Beautiful knives! Man, that's what it's all about regardless how you get there.

I use the cork belts occasionally too, and like them a lot. I find they're particularly good for hollow ground blades as they won't wash out the grind line the way buffing will, and there's much less time on the buffer to risk your nice sharp lines. And they do last virtually forever; I'm still using the belts I bought three years ago...

Great knives! I'd like to try the cork belt system. So you buy a series of cork belts, and use the exact same rouge on each one of them? Or does each grit take it's own special rouge? So far the only way I can get the finish I see on your knives is hours and hours of stone work.
