Agreed! I was just thinking about that the other day ;) It will happen someday. A tapered tang FFBM would probably weight the same as a CGFBM. There is a whole lot of material and weight on those thick and large Fusion handles.
 
What ever happened to tapered tangs? They not only add a distinctive look to a knife but can do wonderful things for it's balance. Shame makers don't use them much anymore.

oh....looks very nice Ban. I'm sure you like it alot considering it's size and thickness.

I think lots of custom knife makers still use it on larger knives to save weight and to bring the balance forward. It is just another required step and many just don't use it because of the the cost (time) vs benefits. It is definitely more useful on larger knives. I am a minimalist so I still like them on smaller knives when the tang does not extend past the handle material.
