Blade is AUS8, 7 3/4" long, 12 1/4" overall length, 3/32" thick and slices beautifully.
The handle is stabilized box elder with mosaic pins
I have applied a high quality clear coat then lightly buffed it for additional protection in the kitchen.

First - In the interest of full disclosure, the base blades are not made by me. They are industrially produced AUS8 blades. I have been using one for almost two years now and love it, I have no qualms about putting my name on the final product. I do some finish work on the blades and handle them.

Not really. It's AUS8 and the blade is the cryo'd version. They're pretty typical of a germanic style blade, not super hard, you use a steel to realign the edge regularly. If I had to take a wild guess I'd say 57-58 based on the book info on AUS 8 and how it behaves relative to other knives I have solid numbers for.
