Box O Goodies Round II / The Christmas in July edition / Tracking and pics thread

Just be careful with that little fingernail file/knife combo on the left of the picture. My dad found out that if you are persistent enough you can put enough of an edge on them to prove dangerous later when you use them like a real knife instead of a letter opener.
 
My wife got the box from the post office today. I will try to get this out sooner but it could well be the end of next week. My grandmother passed away 12/29 and my wife and I are in the midst of making arrangements to attend the services. We will get back home on the 8th if all goes well.

Whomever is next, please PM or email me with your name and address so I have it on hand to send this out as soon as possible. Thanks.
 
Thanks, guys. We appreciate it. My wife and I will fly down Monday, services are Tuesday, and return Wednesday.

I'll be playing the piano for my granny and my wife and I will sing a duet. I'll also play any congregational songs that are needed. My dad and brother and I might be asked to sing too but I've not gotten any of those details.

Granny turned 88 Christmas day. She passed quietly in her sleep. She is at peace and we know where she is.

My takings from the box. Some hand cleanser, the small box with lid has two wipes from the same company, Ruger patch, monkey fist lanyard, SAK, small Kershaw folder, and three shaping stones.

I wasn't able to put all I wanted into the box but did get manage to get it repacked.

Caution, Daniel! I don't think there's one spot of the original box that doesn't have quite a bit of strapping tape on it. No way could I have put everything into a new box that hadn't been broken in. Enjoy! It went out Thursday afternoon.

There isn't any room to put much in:(

Wade - that slider tin is a perfect size for a small fishing kit - and it will fit in an altoid tin.

a couple hooks, 12" steel leader, 20' of braided line, and some split shot -- perfect hobo fishing kit! :)

oh, yeah - the stones came from a cylinder hone at the Cumming diesel plant in Indiana.
they're fairly soft, but will work up a decent "toothy" edge.
 
I will have to remember that setup. Sounds a lot more practical than other's I've come across.
