Box O Goodies Spring '15 Edition

Can we swap out the small flat rate box for a priority mail padded envelope? Serious question. Just a bit more cost. I have received some well packed items too large for the small box and not daunted by the expandable padded envelope. Just opens up a few possibilities.

I really like the idea of this game so I'm in in any case. Thanks for setting it up.

I'm glad not to be Mr. Jackson :D. You guys make me laugh.

I am not exactly sure what the difference in shipping cost is between the two but if its a nominal difference the envelope may prove to be a better package size. Either way, I think we will still call it the Box O Goodies. Envelope O Goodies just doesn't have the same ring to it. :)

Well, if there's retail fishing gear I volunteer to follow Mr. Jackson - panfish & trout please. But I don't need one of those 2 foot long lures.

Part of the fun is re packing the VHS sized box. I'd be worried the envelope would split in transit. But I too will abide by the consensus of everyone else.

A certain degree of common sense needs to apply of course but I receive 3 cell flashlights (nice ones/expensive) which are way to big for a sm box and often just barely seem to fit the envelope but the guys sends out 80% of his lights this way and they always arrived safe and secure even with the bulging envelope. I guess the PO figures if you can get in there they'll send it. I'm not saying I would do this, just asking if it might be an OK option.

Hard to send a lobster or a ferret in a smal box :D

- CORRECTED - I think it's $ 6.10 for the padded envelope and $ 5.95 for the small flat rate box. A bit cheaper if you have an online account with the Post Office.

I remember how much effort, packing, repacking, and extra tape it took for me to seal the flat rate box last time. An envelope may hold more but I would have reservations about cramming it as full as the box was on the last trip. Either way I'm along for the ride and excited to be a part of it.

Since the cost difference is so slight, I think I will include both as options and leave it up to whoever is shipping to decide which container makes more sense.

Looks like we've got a good crew to start things off so I will start a tracking thread and a list. I will transpose everyone from this thread that wanted to participate.

Oh, BTW, does anyone have a spare photo of Mr Jackson and an extra honey badger they're not using?

If we can keep it to the small flat rate box I am in. (they fit in my apt. mail box)
We get different carriers delivering mail here & some just leave packages on door steps rather that leaving a notice to come pick it up at the PO and I wouldn't want to see the BoG stolen off my door step. (I had a package stolen a few years ago.)

I can put you first on the list and I will start off with the small box if that works for you.

I have to agree on using a box although I think you could get more items in an envelope in the box was so happy last time I'd be afraid of the post office screwing that up and it getting ripped open. But I suppose if it were tapped good enough it may be ok

Pretty sure no one will mind.
Okayyyyy, you're the boss, twist my arm and count me in. :

I found your email address and sent you my address Sean. Thanks a bunch and I'm sure glad I'm not after Brad!
