This will most likely be the last box of the year as I have so much other stuff to get done. But I figured I would do one more box for Christmas. Its the fullest box i have done to-date at a total weight of 69LB 12.5OZ. A hair over 68 lbs of 15n20 in sheets that are .09 thick. This 15n20 is from large band saw blades that are made by Uddeholm. The price is $250 shipped within the USA. Thanks guys and as always first come first serve.

OK, I sent it. Just 2 questions. What kind of steel are you adding to this for your damascus? How do you heat treat it?

Thanks

Jack

You can mix it with just about anything but most popular is 1084 or 1095. But I have mixed it with W2, 52100 and O1 and it allwelds great. The heat treat for this 15n20 is not picky. I heat to 1450° give it a little soak around 5-10min and quench. It also is not to picky on quench oil. I use parks 50 but also used AAA if the steel mixed with the 15n20 needs a slower quench. Heated Canola oil also works real good with it.

Jarod, if you're willing to do another 69lb box, I'll take one too :)

I should have enough steel left to cut you up a box. I will do it this Sunday. Send me your email address and I will have the wife send you a PayPal invoice.
