Dont waste your money on this movie that portrays knives in the worst possible light, while portraying Herion addicts as bums with a heart of gold.

Consider it boycotted ! Besides, I dislike that little kid with the very fabric of my being.

Typical BS from Hollywood's modern liberals. On top of the obvious objection I have to the folks writing and producing this schmaltz, it's a shame that so many really good actors -- like Kevin Spacey, for instance -- usually turn out to be flaming Commies. Of course, the best actors seem to be the ones who don't have brains or personalities of their own to get in the way of the character they're assuming.

And tomorrow when you wake up it will be worse.

Could you be more specific on how it portrays knives poorly? I was planning on seeing it, but I won't if it's something really anti...... =\

A man is stabbed by his sister in the arm. A child is stabbed and killed by middle school bullies.
Guns are shown being used twice. Once recklessly and another time clumsily. Alchohol is portrayed as causing wife & child abuse while Herion addicts are portrayed in a semi positive light.

The hidden messages of the movie:
Guns are bad.
Knives are bad.
Alchohol is bad.
Minorities are bad.
Heroin isnt that bad.
Homeless peaple are nice.

I'm trying not to be too specific becuase i dont want to ruin it for anyone who sees it.

Consider it boycotted! Maybe AKTI should boycott it. Let them know that responsible knife users are sick of having knives portrayed as weapons but nothing but.

I wasn't gonna see it anyway 'cause I don't like the director, but now I have an even better reason. Thanks for the warning.

Who is the Director & what else has he done? I may have to avoid his work in the future.

It's not so much that the director's previous movies were bad(Deep Impact, Peacemaker), but they've all been fast paced action movies, and when an action movie director tries to slow it down for the first time with a movie like "Pay it Forward," the results are usually not so great.

Consider it boycotted and reviled.
Not only that but I will spread the word to family and friends.

Not a problem. Wasn't going to see it anyway, but will tell others not to go. On a more positive note: Go see The Drunken Master! If you can deal with the over-dubbing and somewhat meandering plot, the martial arts are fantastic! Jackie Chan strikes again!

Guys
I’ve been round these forums for a while now and like to come here for the knife information (second to none) peripheral stuff like Wilderness and Survival and to have a laugh with likeminded individuals from all round the world. I also like to encounter individuals with a different take on life because I’m here to learn ‘till the day I die.

I have never come here for a film review or recommendation and I’ve got to say I’m amazed at the way all of you seem to have swallowed AR15fan’s questionable analysis as reasons not to see a film.

Let’s see now "portrays knives in the worst possible light" like Psycho or Chinatown? Maybe we should boycott these as well?

"Alcohol is portrayed as causing wife and child abuse" how dare they! Every one knows good people only drink in moderation, only beat their wives when they are sober and only teetotallers and Commies abuse their kids.

"Heroin addicts are portrayed in a semi-positive light" Never! Everyone knows nothing good has ever come from someone who takes heroin, well apart from Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Paul Kossoff, Janis Joplin, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Charlie Parker...

Hidden messages too eh? That’s really worrying, "homeless people are nice" , sweet Jesus where are my placards, I’m off to picket the multiplex! Anyone coming?

I’m not having a go at AR15fan or his film review, I’m more disappointed that you guys line up to slate a film you’ve not (like me) even seen. Maybe someone should start a thread recommending books that should be burned or perhaps some "flaming Commie" actors who should be blacklisted?

I’m not trying to start a fight here I’m just trying to encourage some of you good people to think for yourselves. All the good guys do not carry high quality folders and have concealed carry permits, it’s a funny old world!

That's why we shook you royalists off like a bad smell. We might fight among ourselves, but physician, heal thyself. You let a crock of powered wigs with bad dental work take your guns, you lost 90% of your empire and yet you are still uppity enough to think your opinion still matters to us. Sorry Old Knife Guy,
I didn’t realise I’d posted in the American Patriots Forum. You forgot to mention Charles Darwin in your historical perspective, care to have a go at him too? Or maybe I’d be wrong to jump to conclusions about your wider views, just like your assumptions about my patriotism.

My reply was about free thinking, something good people have laid down their lives for all through history. Maybe you think my point was knocking your country in some way, I hope not, it was not my intention.

Just for the record my people lost the right to bear arms at Culloden, and we didn’t just hand them over.

I don't believe it is stepping out on too terribly thin a limb to make the blanket statement that a great many big Hollywood actors are flaming Commies, my dear little Scottish stocking-top blade-named friend. When excrement-filled craniums like Alec Baldwin publicly call for the murder of Bill Clinton's accusers, or when pumpkinhead Rosie uses her show as a platform to preach hatred for all gun owners, or when Sylvester Stallone states in an interview that we should go house to house confiscating guns, THEY ARE NOT ALONE.

Whether or not "Pay it Forward" is bad, the point is that Hollywood is overrun with Leftists. There are wonderful exceptions, like NRA member Tom Selleck, or well-known Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger, but most of them are filthy statist Reds.

I stand by their right to be filthy statist Reds, too, so don't get your knickers in a twist if I call a spade a spade.

Hmm. The kid sniffs his mom's armpits. That's just bizarre. No thank you.

What's the movie with one of the Baldwins... he's some sort of a killer (not Sliver)? I've seen it at Blockbuster a few times, and it always bothers me that he's holding a Spyderco Rescue in a menacing fashion. My friends keep telling me to shut up about it, but I can't help it. I guess I'll have to rent it sometime.
