living in very close proximity to the Town of Hanover, NH and the site of this double-homicide, very little was made of the weapon used in this crime. They have always been described as "Military type" knives and identified as Sog Seal's only when the media referenced specific documents or motions presented to the Court. The part of the State that this homicide took place is right on the NH-VT border. Both States are very second amendment friendly and knives and guns are common every day tools.
The focus has always been what Tulloch and Parker did, and not what they used to do it. Nobody's feathers were ruffled by their use of knives and in these parts of the woods, any fixed blade with a blade length greather than five inches is commonly called a "military type knife".
Both kids were determined to thrill-kill and would have used any object availble to them to accomplish that goal. They just happened to have been armed with SOG Seals, purchased via the Internet. It was the knives which proved to be their downfall, they left the sheaths at the scene. Parker copped a plea and was just sentenced to 25-life, while Tulloch, against the advice of his Lawyers entered "naked" Guilty pleas to all charges, without any negoiations and is sentenced to consectutive life sentences without the chance of parole.
Even the family made NO ISSUE about the fact that knives were the chosen weapon, as firearms would have been just as easy to obtain had both kids had enough cash, irrespective of their age..................Ira
