Sorry for the title, LW ... ;)

I am fortunate to have an extra room for my HiFi and my records. Till yesterday I had my knives in zipper pouches in a cupboard. Yesterday I received the acrylic display cabinets I ordered from an online shop some days ago, assembled them and put them onto the wall.

I am very happy with it. Let me know what you think about it and also, if you display your knives. Pics are appreciated.

Stefan

That looks great. Love it. I don't have mine on display, but this gives me some ideas.

Wow. Thats is a beautiful room setup.

I really appreciate that you have NO video anything in there, just audio and VISUAL beauties like your CRK's and one of the most beautiful audio setups I've seen in a while. I love those speakers... what are they and +1 on what is in your audio setup?

Super display, great room.

Interestingly Chris's late Dad used to make some beautiful wall mounted display cases and many of Chris's early customers purchased them for their collections.

I love it.

I'd imagine that room would be too small to display all of LW's knives. Probably just cover her Classic Sebenza collection though. :D

I dont display mine. Wish I could as I would probably enjoy them even more. Nice to see a nice array of CRK's and some William Henrys to boot....!!!

Thanks.

The speakers are model "Zero 1" from a german manufacturer Avantgard Acoustic. See english site:

http://www.avantgarde-acoustic.de/en/home-zero1.html

As they are fully active speakers with integrated amplifiers and processors, I don't need regular amplifiers. The turntable comes from a very small german manufacturer. Basically a one man company named Bauer Audio. The North American distributor is Ayre:

http://www.ayre.com/dps.htm

The phono pre goes directly into the speakers. It is a PH-7 from Italian manufacturer Gold Note:

Thats it.

Ah I've heard of Avantgarde.. don't see them in the states much.

I've been using some Ohm Walsh 2's from the 80s.
I run my old Yamaha table through Hafler amps..but like knives, audio gear is constantly being rotated.

Very sweet set up.....And BTW....L.W. isn't the only woman on this forum....jeez

Your penance for that is you have to send me one Mnandi. Next time it'll cost you a Sebenza! ;) :p :D

Looks nice, I like the idea of being able to see my pretties.

Audiofile can be as costly as CR. Nice set solid state set up. How many watts?

That is a sweet set up! I have a dedicated knife and straight razor desk/shelf but nothing like that:thumbup: I have to keep everything up high or in drawers due to small hands in the house:)

Yeah, except you'd need an entire house to display them rather than a room LOL!

Nice room and display Stefan. I'm not too surprised that you're an audiophile. You've got good taste (and talent) in visual art as well. I imagine you have some peaceful and happy times hanging out in there with your music and beautiful knife collection :)
