Boys toys room ..... Do you display your knives?

 :grumpy:  :grumpy:  :grumpy:  :grumpy:  :grumpy:  :grumpy:  :grumpy:

Your penance for that is you have to send me one Mnandi. Next time it'll cost you a Sebenza! ;) :p :D

Looks nice, I like the idea of being able to see my pretties.

I am afraid if I agree on that, suddenly some folks over here will find out their female side ...... :-)

Ah, I used to have a "man room", and that's what I called it. Now it's my "moved back in daughter's room". When it was my man room I had a few knives in a glass display case on the wall. I'll post a pic of the display case, but sadly my man room is no more.

On the plus side, all my family is back together again!

That very nice . Gives me ideas of how to do my vault room. Im to paranoid to leave my knives out after my garage was robbed two years ago while i was on my honeymoon so now i keep everything under lock and key.

""Ditto on Flynlow remark..!***** As I was broke into about xx years a go and lost 18 Guns & 12 Knives <<< did not have a "big selection" back then but what I did have I worked and paid for just so some scumbag could come in through my bedroom window and take everything out wrapped in my top cover off of my bed.!** Just a good thing I did not stop by during the day as I carried a Colt 1911 back then and I would have used it and would have paid the price.!!
Long story short ~~ I looked for them for a very long time ( and glad I never found them ) and finally gave up the ghost and so did the local law enforcement .~~
Since then I have showcased all my Guns & Knives in the best Safes that money can buy plus I have ADT & 2 German Shepards that run my grounds 24/7 & then there are my 6 Camera's ~~ don't really think I need anything else.!*** LOl
Have a sign on my front & back door that say's ~~ come on in and "stay awhile"...? hehe

So do you have a favourite?

Hey Cody,

that is really hard to tell. Each of them has its own charm. The mammoth bark Large 21 and Mnandi are maybe the most special ones. But I can definitely also warm up my heart for the plain Jane with damascus blade, which is less "fancy". Hoping that I never will be forced to choose :-)

I am somewhat of an audiophile as well, but end up listening at a rather loud volume level. I thought about doing the same thing in my "cave" but figured there wouldn't be one left standing and I would end up always having to set them back up. How is the display after a good listening session?

Love the set up btw. I used to have Avantgarde's a couple years ago when I was holding the torch and spinning the black circle. I went solely digital about 3 years ago and changed out to a Krell Audio front end and had to sell the Avant's for some $. Now listening to tunes on Krell feeding through Transparent cables and loving some active Genelecs.

I dont display mine. Wish I could as I would probably enjoy them even more. Nice to see a nice array of CRK's and some William Henrys to boot....!!!

I noticed the William Henrys as well. I thought the WHs added a nice touch of diversity.

:-) So far I didn't manage to blow the knives from the shelf :-)) No problem at all.

Strange room, all white and only one seat. Never seen anything like it, CODYCASH has the setup like all my friends have, just hang it where ya can and have a regular looking room for it all.

:D:D:D

Well. Different people. Different taste. ;)

As I said in my original post: It is not my living room. It is an extra room in my house I have available and as I am enjoying listening to music, other than in my car or via smart phone ...... I have set up this room only for one goal: having the best possible sound experience. That makes having only on chair and having it positioned in the middle of the room.

Dont worry. I do have friends coming to my house for dinner or whatever. But on such occasions the living room serves pretty well. ;)

That is beautiful! Who needs music video babes when you can look around and see beauties like that! :)

The closest thing that I have to a display is a glass topped jewelry travel display case with a flat, soft pad in the bottom. I keep the 6 or 8 folders that are in my current daily EDC rotation in the case which sits on top of my chest of drawers in the bedroom...so not really "on display" but viewable.

Then I have a 64 drawer Akro-Mills parts storage cabinet with soft, rubber liners in each drawer. I keep the rest of my favorite folders in this, one per drawer with a little Dymo label designating each one. So, in a way, these are kind of on display as the cabinet sits besides my work desk in my office. I usually pick a knife at random from this group and display it on top of the cabinet in a little plastic stand, it's my version of KOTD (knife of the day) ;) The Akro-Mills cabinet has worked well but the plastic frame is beginning to sag from the weight of 64 folders. I'd like to try to replace it with something similar but with a metal frame.

The rest of my knives are rolled up in various knife rolls, bags and Spyderpacs. I've got probably close to 10 different bags and rolls so I keep an Excel spreadsheet with the location of each knife.

Yeah, I'm a knut. I know.

"Yeah, I'm a knut. I know. "

You are. No doubt. :D But here is "home of the knuts". So no problem. ;)

Do you mind showing us pictures?

This is the Akro parts cabinet. I don't have labels on the drawers yet as I'm just wrapping up moving
