Gentlemen,
Any help would be much appreciated, posting this for a friend.

Lost Acid Watch Marfione Stitch Prototype. The blade was likely dropped in a hotel room at the Fairfield inn and suites Marriott.
I'm sure you are all good natured people and would gladly return it on your own accord, but your times worth money.... if ANYONE finds it in a pawn shop, Ebay, Craigslist etc etc I will
gladly pay handsomely to see it returned to my friend... no tricks, no games... cash up front.

Any and all help is truly appreciated.

To say “that sucks” is an understatement, but that REALLY sucks!!!

I’m not familiar with these knives. Are there any unique or particular markings that designate your friend’s Stitch as a certain prototype?

Microtech serializes their knives, not sure about prototypes though. The Stitch will have 'Prototype' on the clip.

Where was the Fairfield Inn?

It won't be serialized, just prototype on the clip as mentioned

Coulda been worse. It might have been a knife not made by Anthony Marifone that was lost.
Ever see that movie? I think it was called a classless a**hole.... good flick!

Take it easy.

To have lost a knife sucks - any knife, I guess.

That being sad, Im not an big fan of that persons 'business methods' either.

Well, hopefully some maintainence guy isn't scraping tape off of a rusty pipe with it right now. That's always a probability.

Dude, he was making joke. The situation sucks enough already. Keeping the ability to take things in stride will help minimize the suckage.
Not my blade, a friends... just trying to help him out.

I agree ;)

I'd almost guarantee whomever scooped it up has no clue what they are using.

How true. The guy would have a heart attack if he knew what it was worth.

C'mon guys. He's asking about a lost knife not the Company.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Hope it's gets back to you safety.

For my part, the matter was closed but since you for some reason quote me;

To have lost a knife - any knife - really sucks and I hope the owner locates his blade.

How ever that doesnt change the fact, that a person in the knife community happens to be of questionable character/lacking in moral fibre and have very questionable 'business methods.'

If he doesn’t ever get it back it’s a good excuse to buy another knife. That’s my way

For the record, I don't own a MT and I will never own one (for many reasons) but that's not the point here. We are trying to help a fellow BF dude ;)

I know this is not comforting but I lost a very expensive watch in a hotel (this was totally my fault btw, left in room) and it was a done deal :(

Settle down, it was just a joke. Losing anything of value sucks, even moreso something as personal as a unique knife. I didn't mean to belittle your friend's situation. I just hate Anthony Marfione. The dude is unscrupulous and dishonest. And his signature is etched on the one MT I have left. I have everything about this knife, yet I'd hate to lose it just the same, because it's more than just a knife to me (sentimental reasons). Still, I'd rather lose this one than most of my others.

It also sucks to think that some dipshit that doesn't know better might end up with the knife. Imagine someone throwing a $2000 knife into a tree, using it as a screwdriver, sharpening it on a grinder, etc. That thought hurts as much as losing the knife.

It's better to laugh at loss than cry.

Somewhere some idiot is prying a paintcan open with that knife. In doing so the tip snaps off. The idiot: "What a piece of garbage knife!"
