Has anyone tried one of these knives? Would the blade be to long, at 5 1/2" for bushcraft? Kinda got the fever for one.

I use a 6-inch knife for woodsbumming and outdoors work quite frequently and it works fine for me. If it handles well and is made well it should work fine.

EDIT: Just looked up the knife and it looks like it would make for a great hunting/butchering knife. Should be a very versatile pattern. I would personally like to see a bit of a "bottom guard" type thing to let you know when your fingers are getting close to the edge, but that may or may not bother you.

Thats the type of knife the "mountain men" took with them out west. I would like to get one.

5.5'' is my perfect blade length. but that is just me. maybe it is because it is more proportional to my arm length.
