I've got a Guardian Elite from Gary that's been in the carry rotation for about three years now, and it's been an awesome knife. Tough as nails, cuts like the dickens, and still looks good to boot...you can't ask for any more from a knife.

Mine has brown over green ray skin with a bronze dragonfly menuki. I had Gary minimize the handle as much as possible for easier carry, and it came out absolutely perfect. Feels like the handle was molded to my hand. It's definitely a "keeper".
Gary has a policy of providing a free handle rewrap once a year, and I think that's a cool policy. Kind of like getting new, different looking knife once a year if you change up the handle colors, while still retaining the "feel" of a familiar blade.
One of these days I want to get a Guardian Ichiban somewhere down the road. What I'd REALLY like to see would be one in a sort of semi-integral version in the same vein as one of Don Fogg's cord wrapped gent's/utility knives, but then again I'm a sucker for anything asian influenced, integral, and cord wrapped!
