Bradford 3 ,what's all the fuss about ?

I'm sure the 3D scales are much more comfortable when in use but I'm thinking for a knife this size that's not as important. So, I am thinking of getting the thinner scales as they will carry better but I'm afraid it will be similar to the ESEE Izula with Micarta scales which was very awkward and uncomfortable in hand. I would order one with the 3D scales but to me it doesn't seem practical for a knife this size to have a handle as thick as my inches-longer Bark River knives. Any input?
it's one of the most comfy I've ever felt I couldn't imagine using the non 3d I feel like I could cut all dam day w this knife

You can get kydex right on the Bradford site. I believe they are made by David Brown. Just got my 3D one in for a G4 I picket up recently. Intentionally ordered it with the flat scales and kydex for it but that handle was so rough it tore my side up through a TShirt under my main shirt. Had to go to the 3D handles but then had to order the 3d sheath because the flat handled one didn't secure it. I've also had a couple of 3s and hated the size at first but carry it all the time now. (Yesterday) I have the 4 today..

Comparison pics. It doesn't look like it from that angle but I used a straight edge on the ends of the knives/sheaths. Both the sheaths on the Bradfords were bought off of Bradfords site.. The other knives are a Busse AMS and an ESEE 3, figured everyone would know one of those to compare to..

Thanks, I know about both kydex options but I like the leather sheath, juts need to know if it fits my 2" wide belt.

Totally. I've got it in M390 with the G-wood handles and it has replaced all of my folders for EDC. Ticks all the boxes for me- would work as a tactical blade, full flat grind makes an excellent slicer, and it looks fairly rustic so it doesn't scare people. Perfect blade length and comfy handles. If it's legal and you can afford then you need one. Good choice OP :)

Honestly I find my forefinger is quite close to the edge for tactical use of the 3. The choil doesn't inspire that much confidence either.
