At least Bradford was listening.

I nicked myself several times on the front edge of the choil on my Guardian3. Rather than softening the edge there, I just taught myself not to do that anymore (pain is a great teacher). After the first few weeks (and a number of nicks), my hand figured out where NOT to grab the knife and everything has been fine since. The 3.5 looks like a good idea. I like the Guardian 3, but I had to "dumb down" the blade immediately in front of the choil because I nicked my index finger a couple times while getting a grip on it, after taking it out of the sheath. I can't be the only one who's had that problem. (Or am I?)
If Ethan came out with a longer handled bk14 with a little longer blade... He's got my money.
I could be wrong but isn't the G3 a 3.5 inch blade already?
No, like a larger bk11 or 14 but smaller than bk16. I had a bk16 a long time ago, I can't knock it, but I moved it on.Like the BK16?

I'll have to eye ball that one.In that 'tweener' size, you should seriously check out Lionsteel M4.
The m4 is the right size, but looks like it has the ergonomics of a broom handle to me. I prefer a little more rounding and contours. And if done correctly a deep finger choil is lovely. In that 'tweener' size, you should seriously check out Lionsteel M4.

I actually do like the looks of the esee jg3 handle shape.Gotcha. That ALMOST sounds like an ESEE 3, then.
You're right, they drop point is only 3". I was thinking of the sheepsfoot which is 3.5" cutting edgeThe cutting edge is only 3.0”
but without the massive all around scale up that makes the G4 such a different animal for the extra length. How about a G4 Slimline!
If you want slim, might look at the non-3D replacement scales for the G4, they take the scale width from 0.9" down to 0.59". I've considered that too.
