Thank you guys for all the support on my knives, it has been truly humbling. I assembled a few of the Black Canvas Micarta handles on some of the HIGH POLISH blades from the Maroon run.
The result is pretty sweet, still a porcelain media tumbled finish so they will not scratch easily.
Before now I only offered these to previous customers of the Maroon run so they would match.
The Specs:
Bohler M390, heat treated to 59.5-60.5 Rc by Stack Metallurgical
.110 thick at the spine with a Full Height Flat bevel grind, brought to .007/.009 behind the hair shaving edge
(Blades are sharpened on a belt at low speed to maintain the best qualities of the M390, blades are taken thru the paces with a leather strop finishing the sequence)
Designed with meat and kitchen uses in mind (Fits in about 98% of Kitchen knife blocks, only heard of one case)
4.5 Blade length, with an OAL of 8.5
Porcelain media finish for a "close" mirror. I've been told that M390 won't get to full mirror (holds up to various environments)
Black Canvas Micarta with Maroon liner material- this was chosen in order to blend in with existing knife blocks, subtle but yet very high performance
Custom made SS Corby fasteners that have been ground down after epoxy during my final assembly
I have not had time to get these to my friends house to get pictures worthy of BF, so I figure I can just describe
The handles are the Black Canvas Micarta with maroon liner material.
The blades are the same finish as the blades in this picture
I only a have 4 blades like this, I would offer these individually for $SOLD EA, or significant quantity breaks if you want multiple.. . I can include extra packaging if you wanted to give one as a gift, just let me know.
This is a TYD price, I cover paypal, for quantity deals however, I do prefer check/MO
