Bradley alias versus Chris Reeve Sebenza

I own the smaller versions of both and wouldn't want to do without either.

If you're buying as a collector or for status or to have the "best," you'll have to fork out more money. But the Alias will feel just as good in your pocket -- and you may be more willing to carry it.

I tried both and prefer the Alias. Feels better in hand and looks nicer in my opinion.

I know a good number of people that do not own a Sebenza. As a general rule their feet stink, they tell lies, and they don't love Jesus.

:D LOL Knee slapper!

Thanks for the laugh.

If you want the best, you wont find it in the alias. You will however find it in the Sebenza.

The Umnunzaan and Sebenza are both great great knives. But if I had to choose between the two I'd pick the Sebenza 85% of the time. It's simple lines and maintenance make it the clear winner to me.

I would say get both I have another seb on the way and Im looking at picking up the alias as well.

I think you should buy the sebenza first, use it for a couple of weeks, then buy the alias...

As soon as you take the alias out of the box, you will instantly understand why the sebenza is one of the most talked about knives in the knife community!
You will then promptly put the alias up for sale or return it.

That is exactly what I did.
The alias that I had, showed blade play, the lockbar detent was weak, the lockbar over exteneded way to easy, the pocket clip was mediocre, there is no pivot bushing in the alias (that feature alone make the sebenza worth the extra coin)
Overall the alias was pretty good for the price (I paid $160 about a year or two ago), but if you want a sebenza you can't settle on something that is similar, get the sebenza.

The only way to get something that is better than a sebenza is to get a Lochsa!

I'm one of the ones who, "skipped" the Alias, and went right to the Sebenza. I love all CRK folders. They are built extremely well, and i prefer them over my customs.

I had the chance to handle an Alias at the Blade Show this past June, and as soon as i picked it up, i started to laugh to myself. I immediately could tell it was inferior to the Sebenza. First thing i did was check for side blade play, and was astounded at how much was there....nice knife, but it was like picking up one of my dozen or so Benchmades....all the same feel.

btw-the Alias IS a nice knife....it's just not in the same category as a Sebenza(to me...IMO....ymmv etc...) :)

(And if I am overlooking an EDC with at least S30V blade material, titanium handles and perfect construction quality, please let me know.)

Well, in my opinion the Spyderco Sage 2 offers all of that.
Also check out the Lion Steel SR-1. It is quite special.

Lol u found an Alias w/ blade play? Loose pivot screw or fluke. It ain't no sebenza, but it sure as shit doesn't wobble.
