Sorry guys, I don't understand? I'll have to try to figure out what you're referring to and post in the Tinkering section before I spend $$ on an Alias I. They're not as pricey as Sebenzas but still well over $200.

The smaller Alias can be had for under $200 and the larger one is typically around $220.

The pivot bushing system is something unique (there are a few exceptions) to the Sebenza. It permanently sets the adjustment on the pivot screw. That means you can loosen or tighten the pivot screw however much you want but the tolerances between the scales and blade pivot won't change. The setup the Alias has is probably what you are used to.

Yup, the Benchmade (ond others) pivot adjustment is fine for me.

Even if this were the case washer's arent the be all, end all to smoothness. You should check out a calypso 3 or a bob lum chinese from spyderco, imo both blow the tenacious away in terms of "smoothness" as far as opening goes, and one is a lockback.

My suggestion to you is to sell some knives you arent using and buy a second hand sebenza. You can only carry one knife at a time + the alias isnt a sebenza.

The alias looks and is built like a tactical folder, the sebenza is not.

I bought 2 alias II in May of last year.I went back and forth about a seb and

2 allias 2...Big Mistake.I have gotten several sebs since the 2 alias II.

Only carried the alias 2 for a short...Id like to sell them and get another.seb.

The alias quality and f/f is about 2/3of the CRK.

Save some $$ and buy a user seb for a lot less than a new CRK.I did with

one of my CRK..still a fantastic knife.:thumbup::thumbup:
