Bradley Performance

The ergos fit my big hands perfectly. So upset its missing.

I recieved my GB yesterday. Very nice knife and feels good in the hand, but the lock is very hard to manipulate. In fact, it clicks sometimes when it unlocks. Is it normally like this? I'm wondering if there might be a burr on the liner lock or the blade.

The GB is one of my favorite knives but I think it would be a bit better performer with G10 scales.
Yes, it would not look as nice but it would be grippier.

I find the carbon fiber tougher, or harder to damage than G10 so it kind of fits with the toughness of the rest of the knife. But yes, not as grippy.

I like grippy knives too, but when I'm really honest with myself I have to admit that I have never really had a problem with any knife no matter how "grippy" (or not) the handle. And that goes from kitchen knives to my fishing knives to edc's. I have some boat and filet knives with completely smooth, slick plastic handles and most of my kitchen knives don't have any traction to speak of, and you know what? None of them have ever slipped on me. Ever. So yeah, I like a handle that feels like it's got a lot of grip as much as the next guy, but the truth is it's never been an issue in real world use. Not sure what my point is, but that's the end of my rant. ;)

I took mine apart and cleaned it and then stoned the engagement surfaces of the lock. This thing is crazy smooth, by far the smoothest opening knife I own. Also, it locks and unlocks perfectly now with normal pressure. Fantastic knife!

One if the meanest slicer I'd say.
I use Martin's washboard & white compound for maintenance, go back to DMT EE if needed.

How do you all maintain the edge?

Edge Pro. 17 dps inclusive. I maintain the edge with the paper strops.

30 degrees on primary bevel, 40 degrees micro bevel on Sharp Maker. Pretty much every knife I have is setup this way. I would like to get an Edge Pro, but I keep spending my money on new knives. The Gayle Bradley is one I would like to thin it out a bit more as it is run harder and tougher than most steels.

Dps inclusive?? :confused:Gotta pick one. ;)

My lingo in this case means no bevels or micro bevels. Straight up 17 degrees per side. 34 degrees inclusive if that'll make you happy. :p
