Review Brand Cold steel rusted

Hello my fellow blade enthusiast, I just received my first cold steel but noticed the stop pin has some discoloration to it, unlike the the rest of the screws. I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this. It came out the box this way and I don’t know if I should send it back or keep it. Some people say rust doesn’t do anything to the blade itself it’s just a cosmetic thing.

Yep! I took a snaggle tooth off of one of my benchmades and put It on my recon.

Phwew. I noticed the stud right off too and was going to suggest it was a fake if it came that way (not that that would necessarily have anything to do with the discolored stop pin). With that settled, it wouldn't bother me. I'd maybe run over it with a bronze gun cleaning brush and some oil, but that would be it. It's your knife, though, so if it really bugs you (assuming you are able to reinstall the factory stud without any marring or anything), then send it back.
