Discontinued, Brand New, Unused, Uncarried Busse Combat “Embrace the Suck” with Tan Micarta Handle Scales with Original Busse Combat S.S.S.S (Swine Shaving Sharpness Sheet) with Penetrator Tip. INFI steel. The tan epoxy coated blade is 6.75” long, 1 9/16” wide and 0.21” thick. Overall length is 12”. It is flat ground with a very strong, sort of a drop point with Penetrator Tip. It offers increased piercing ability without sacrificing tip strength. The edge is breathtaking sharp! There is a very generous choil that allows you to choke up on the blade for detailed work and after that the talon hole.
This is a special military overrun from Busse Combat. It was made exclusively for “PSD TEAM DELTA”. It is the Satin Jack TAC in its most rare version from the well-known Busse line. This particular knife is even more rare as it has the Penetrator Tip (please, see photos #4 and #5). It can go even through a bullet proof vest! It is rumored that “Embrace the Suck” became a Team Motto, after telling the unit they were in for a long haul and might as well make the best of it. A portion of the sale of these knives during a very limited civilian offering was donated by Jerry Busse to the team for their efforts of rebuilding a village left devastated by the conflict there. The team’s motto “Embrace the Suck” is printed towards the center of the blade and above this and to the rear is the “BUSSE COMBAT” logo.
The handle is made of tan contoured canvas micarta which make it fit the hand like a glove. It offers a very secure grip while makes the knife very fast in the hand: you can switch from forward grip to a reverse edge out ice pick grip faster than you can think of it. It also gives amazing comfort to the user’s hand. The scales are held in place via three hollow metal tubes that make sure they stay where they have to. The full tang of the knife extends for 1/4” past the handle to form a highly effective glass breaker / skull crusher. There is a lanyard hole in it.
This is a very strong superbly made all-purpose knife. You can use this knife from skinning game all the way to bushcraft, survival or, even as a last ditch weapon. It will come out with flying colors and will be asking for more. There are reasons for which it was chosen by a special military unit as their preferred edged tool.
